Powerful woman Ulla doesn't allow herself any break Coach in many countries
Already 1995 when she was just on to come to the attention of the international dressage sports with her "Rusty", she started with her English-speaking lesson as a national coach of the Philippine Dressage Squad. For three years she has been flying regularly to Southeast Asia but than her competition schedule did not allowe her this trips any more. After saying goodbye to her showpiece "Rusty" there was no question for Ulla Salzgeber to rest on her “laurels” (from Athen) at all. Finally she had time to practice her second great passion-teaching. She was a national coach of the Australian dressage team from the middle of 2005 until August 2006 and the team could celebrate her biggest success in previous dressage history at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen 2006: a 9th place in the FEI World Team Dressage! Inquiries for clinics came from all over the world and Ulla had a great deal of trouble to keep up with all appointment wishes. But neither the icy cold in Norway nor the stifling heat in the USA could limit her thirst for action. "Sometimes it is rather exhausting. Besides the sometimes long flights I shall also teach effectively. But when I feel the kind atmosphere which always expect me there and when I can impart the interested and talented rider a little bit of my riding principles, the effort is forgotten quickly!" She has established clients primarily in England and she regularly trains her English pupils. Not only the horse enthusiasm but also the determination and the sense of humour of "her" English clients catch Ulla's fancy again and again. And the success has been already appeared: Anna Ross Davis (look also under "pupils") became the best rider of the English team at the European championships in Turin! She wrote a poem for Ulla which describes her coach activity perfectly:
A small insight in Ulla’s worldwide coach activity:
